Jane Hogan was my first experience of using a business coach and 2 years on she's the reason I'll continue to use her and to recommend her to other businesses. I started ClickandGo in 2010 and even though we had a number of shareholders, the decision making was down to me. I needed someone at my level, who could help shape some key decisions for our start up business. I also needed the discipline of sitting with someone to review what I said I'd do in the last week or two. Jane has been a great asset to ClickandGo.com, she has worked with me on company structure, our business plan, sales strategy, training and time management for me. As a start up, a business coach is a reasonable expense but it has been so worthwhile for the business, we have seen tangible results. We have used Jane for 3 blocks of time over the last 2 years and I can see us using Jane for the foreseeable future. Before starting coaching, we didn't know much about it but our first thoughts on it was that it could be a waste of time and money as we didn't think we "needed" coaching. 

Our challenge was trying to focus on things that are more important and how to achieve them. For example, we weren't really aware that focusing more on our existing customers could give us more sales.  Through Jane’s coaching, we have learnt how useful systems can be and what important information you can get from them.  We have introduced testing & measuring and KPIs to keep track of our business performance.  We are also tracking our cashflow more regularly and accurately.  What we learnt from this has enabled us to introduce a new service area to our business.

Our experience of working with Jane has left us a lot more focussed on things that are more important We are and will be achieving better sales and more profitable sales. 

One of the main benefits of coaching is that we now have a lot more information on how to do things the right way and in a better way.

Before starting coaching I thought it was a good idea but costly for both time and pocket.

I had a challenge with delegation and worrying that work may not be carried out as I expected.  This meant that I was having difficulty finding time to get through the workload myself.  I needed to get all involved in the company working together as a team, but found that team efficiency and communication were lacking.

Through Jane’s coaching I have learnt how important it is to constantly check margins and work to maintain them.  I have introduced a procedures manual and tracking sheet to ensure that everybody maintains the same high standards.  I have also learnt that to grow a business, one needs systems in place that work and that I have to surround myself with positive, productive people. 

Since starting coaching with Jane, I have a team that are enthusiastic and want to grow and have more free time to work on my business.  I also have a better understanding of myself, my goals, my actions and reactions and have more confidence and positivity about what I am doing.

I would recommend you as a coach because, I believe your business coaching is better than a business course - I have come across people who have studied business and are unable to apply it.  You provide a lot more knowledge and understanding of how business works.

We have found the exercise challenging and rewarding. It has required us to question fundamental assumptions about our business. As a result, we have been able to identify failings, and take the necessary action. It has helped us to identify what we are doing right, and to confirm for us the reasons why we do what we do.

Overall, and particularly from the new emphasis we have been putting on measuring our success, we have been able to make decisions based on facts, not theories.

Our sessions have not only kept us focused on working on these changes, but your personal encouragement and coaching especially in dealing with difficult HR issues have been and are a great help.

It has been a stimulating and positive experience.

My business is a family business comprising of my wife and myself - the directors and three of our children who carry out the day-to-day running of the business. I took on the services of a coach, as I felt that working together with family members has its difficulties and I needed some help in organising my team to work more professionally and efficiently together. 

Jane's coaching has helped us to identify where we need to spend time on our business. I feel that we now work better together and have begun to set up systems in our business to make it work more efficiently for us.  

Sometimes it can be difficult to find the time to carry out the procedures that need to be done to organise our business, however thankfully Jane is very patient and steps in with a positive comment to help us move forward when we feel stuck.
